Lampshade Men -Maureen Dai

For the concept of this shoot, I originally was told to check out this location by a friend. I went to the train tracks and immediately pictured men dressed in nice suits posed in different scenarios on these tracks. I was looking through some pictures by Rodney Smith, and there was one picture that stuck out to me where these men in suits had on carboard boxes over their heads. This is where I got the idea of the lampshades. For the individual shots, I told them where to stand and what I wanted the shot to look like, but after a few snaps they started to move around on their own, and their individual personalities started to show through despite their faces and identity being hidden which was the concept of the shoot.
